Kathryn Gimborys serves as part of IHEP’s communications team. She supports IHEP’s external communications and advocacy efforts by assisting with press outreach, developing editorial content, and managing the organization's website and social media channels.
Prior to joining IHEP full-time, Gimborys served as a communications intern at IHEP, as well as an education policy intern at the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, & Pensions. Before entering the education policy space, she interned at several civil rights organizations, including The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, National Organization for Women, People For the American Way, and the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas. She has also served as a fellow for national and local political campaigns.
A native of Reno, Nevada, she earned her B.A. in political science from The George Washington University.
