IHEP Policy Priorities
The Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, research and advocacy organization committed to promoting college access and success for all students, especially students of color and students from low-income backgrounds. Since 1993, IHEP has been a leading voice in promoting equity in our higher education system by producing high-quality research and leading evidence-based initiatives.
We know that each and every person - regardless of their background, race, or income - can benefit from higher education and, in turn, that education benefits families, communities, and our nation as a whole. Recognizing that too many of today's college students encounter obstacles as they work to get to-and-through college, we provide the research and analytic tools needed to drive national, state, regional, and institutional efforts to support student success.
