Members of the Today’s Students Coalition and Other Education and Workforce Advocates Call on Congress to Support Students Impacted by COVID-19

Washington, DC — The Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP) joins 50 organizations from across the country to call on federal lawmakers to ensure that today’s students are supported in legislative responses to the COVID-19 public health crisis. Specifically, the signatories call on Congress to allow for direct emergency funds to cover students’ basic needs, allow for flexibility with the Pell Grant Lifetime Eligibility Usage, and ensure no penalty to a student’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Status.
