Envisioning the National Postsecondary Data Infrastructure in the 21st Century: Paper Series Launch
America’s students, policymakers, and institutions need better information about our postsecondary system, especially in this era of rising college costs and stagnating completion rates. In order to address this problem, The National Postsecondary Data Infrastructure Expert Working Group convened multiple times over the last year to discuss opportunities to develop targeted recommendations for improving the national postsecondary data infrastructure. The product of these discussions is a series of 11 policy papers that address a variety of emerging options for improving the quality of the data infrastructure to inform state and federal data policy conversations. Each infrastructure paper explores the data system’s current status, technical enhancements, and resources needed to improve, and action steps for making those improvements. Click here to view the eleven papers in the series.
