IHEP and More Than 80 Higher Education Associations and Organizations Call on the Department of Homeland Security to Withdraw Guidance Impacting International Students

The Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP) joins over 80 higher education associations and organizations to ask the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to withdraw recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) guidance requiring international students to attend in-person classes this fall or leave the United States. As colleges and universities grapple with difficult questions about how and when to safely resume in-person instruction, this guidance threatens to undermine the safety and college success of international students and the stability of our higher education system.
