Taylor Myers

Assistant Director of Research and Policy

Taylor Myers is the Assistant Director of Research and Policy at the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP). In this role, she leads the Postsecondary Data Collaborative‘s research and policy agenda.

Prior to joining IHEP, Taylor served as a Research Associate at the Community College Research Center (CCRC), where she conducted quantitative and mixed-methods research on community college to four-year college transitions and the adoption and implementation of Guided Pathways reforms. She is currently working on doctoral research focused on the experiences and perceptions of adults who return to college and students who are parenting while completing degrees. Taylor also served as a Policy and Research Analyst for California Competes, where she led efforts to advocate for student access and success measures and collaborated with legislators to refine policies related to online education, community college access, and adults with some college but no degree.

Taylor graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Health Education and Community Health and from the University of California, Berkeley, with an MPP in Public Policy.

Taylor is proud to be a first-generation college graduate and a parenting student. She is inspired by the work IHEP does to ensure that students’ abilities to access credentials and thrive in college are equitable and just. An important part of this work, and a passion of hers, is using data to understand the impact public policy can have on college students, their families and communities, and the economies in which they participate.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family, discovering new hiking trails, and dabbling in interior design.
