BEAMS Regional Meeting
Between 2003 and 2007, the Building Engagement and Attainment for Minority Students (BEAMS) project fostered data-based campus change initiatives at more than 100 four-year Historically Black, Hispanic-Serving, and Tribal colleges and universities to successfully increase student engagement and learning. Accomplishments that are both remarkable and historic, to say the least!
As the project ended, the Institute for Higher Education Policy hosted a series of luncheons across the country to promote the release of the monograph Increasing Student Success at Minority-Serving Institutions: Findings from the BEAMS Project, along with a series of special practice briefs.
Each event highlighted the BEAMS project’s key findings, best practices, and lessons learned, and featured a panel of experts who are eager to share their knowledge of proven engagement initiatives to help all institutions succeed.
